I am deeply honoured to have worked alongside Taran Singh to undertake the design, research, and installation of the Banda Singh Bahadur statue. This was a 2 year project which involved working with several partners to bring this project to fruition.
Banda Singh was a sikh warrior who in the 18th century was able to begin to lay the foundtions to a Sikh empire and who minted coins paving the way to Sikh soverignty.
It is incredibly humbling to see this project come to life, with the statue now unveiled on Friday 17th April at Guru Nanak Durbar Gurdwara, Gravesend. A commorative booklet was alo released where i narrate the history of Banda Singh Bahadur.
This has been a journey of dedication, and I’m grateful to have played a part in commemorating such a important Sikh warrior and leader.
